Native to northeastern part of North America. Graceful tree or shrub with fine twigs, up to 10 m high. Leaves emerging brown, hairy on both sides. Blooms profusely with white flower clusters. Crown bushy upright. Park and avenue tree for open green areas. Beautiful autumn colour.
