Stella' is a black cherry with large, rich, high quality fruits. Heavy and regular crops with the benefit of being self-fertile. Caution to be taken around wet weather as has the potential for fruit splitting. Cropping season: late July. Pollination group 4

Although it is primarily grown for its fruit, this cherry cultivar can also be used as an ornamental tree. The recognizable, white cherry blossoms unfold in the spring with the scented flowers particularly attractive to insects. The rich, high quality fruit follows early in the summer, deep crimson red when ripe. The Stella cherries are firm, large, and have a sweet flavour. Not unlike its close relatives, this deciduous fruit tree has ovate, toothed foliage that starts out dark green, turning to warm shades of orange and red in the autumn.
